CapTex Tri Taps EIGHT Beer as Official Beer Sponsor
Finish line festival to feature new Austin based independent beer brand
High Five Events, one of the largest privately owned event production companies in the United States, pens sponsorship deal with EIGHT Beer making it the Official Beer of the Ascension Seton CapTex Tri. This inaugural agreement means EIGHT Beer will feature its Texas-brewed beer at the finish line festival’s beer garden for finishers aged 21 and up. The 31st annual CapTex Tri takes place in downtown Austin, Texas on Memorial Day, May 29, 2023.

EIGHT, founded by NFL legend and lifelong fitness enthusiast Troy Aikman is a light lager brewed with organic grains and no added adjuncts, fillers, or preservatives, 90 calories and 2.6g carbs per 12 oz serving. EIGHT will be available to finishers and spectators in the EIGHT Beer Garden at the finish line festival for CapTex Tri. The EIGHT Beer Garden will provide runners and their friends and family a place to gather, relax and enjoy a cold EIGHT post-race. EIGHT branded swag will also be available in the post-race festivities. In addition, samples will be provided to those 21 and older at the Health and Fitness Expo at Palmer Events Center on May 28th, 2023.

CapTex Tri celebrated its 30th anniversary last year with a sold out crowd. This year is on track to be the biggest on record. The downtown triathlon offers distances for all levels of athletes from the Rookie and Sprint distances to the Olympic distance tri. In addition, the event offers relays and aquabike, as well as Athena and Clydesdale divisions. CapTex Tri takes place in downtown Austin, Texas on Memorial Day, May 29, 2023 with a Health and Fitness Expo on May 28th. Participant registration can be found HERE.
